Stage I. Music Production Fundamentals

In this step you will learn in practice the fundamentals you need to produce music professionally

Rhythm and working with live drums

  • Fundamentals of rhythm (Elementary music theory);
  • The composition of a drum kit;
  • Functions of the elements of a drum kit;
  • The design features of the elements of the kit;
  • How to consider and use these features when recording Midi;
  • How to make a drum part by ear;
  • How to write these parts so that they sound alive;
  • How to learn to write interesting and, most importantly, relevant parts.

Working with sampled drums

  • Proper and appropriate combination of samples in a composition;
  • Developing an understanding and listening ear when working with samples;
  • Analyzing timbres in a reference composition;
  • Finding the right sources;
  • What to do if you can’t find the perfect sample;
  • What is leering;
  • ADSR Volume Curve;
  • Editing the sources;
  • Removing the drums on the example of a music composition.

Working with Bass
